Circus dell’Arte’s instructors are professional trapeze artists and will teach students the necessary skills to perform static trapeze. With a range of classes from beginner, intermediate and advance class, there is something for everyone to participate in this great art.
Stilt Walking
Ever dreamt of touching the sky or being larger then life? Now you can be one step closer to your dreams. Our Stilt Walking class lets you build this skill one step at a time. With each step, you get that much more closer to your dreams of touching the sky. With a range of stilts, including pole stilts and jumping stilts, students are sure to enjoy this fun learning activity.
Juggling
More balls than hands to hold them? Ever want to make juggling look so effortless! You can! Its easy… Juggling is a never ending journey. Each new accomplishment is satisfying in itself. Juggling can help us with one of the most important lessons in life, learning how to learn.
Unicycling
Why ride a bicycle when you can ride a one-wheeled unicycle. This unique skill can be learnt with our experienced teacher. After participating in our class you will develop the skill to ride miles at ends, from dawn til dusk and more!
Clowning
Skilled clowning involves developing circus, musical and theatrical skills to a level that can be used as part of a “clown language” which is unique to each individual. Learn how to build your own comic routine, using improvisation, rhythm and play. You’ll experience the joys of seriously clowning around.
Magic
Ever wanted to be a Houdini? Let Circus dell’Arte teach you to perform spectacular magic effects including teleportation, prediction, levitation and much much more. Students can choose to specialize in stage illusion, close up magic, mentalism or general street magic. Before you know you will bend forks and spoons, predict cards, levitate balls and stun and amaze your friends and family.
Puppetry
Hello…You looking at me…Learn the art of Puppetry and Ventriloquism. Circus dell’Arte offers our students a range of puppets and skilled teachers to master this fun and exciting skill. Before you know it you'll be able to perform your own puppet show for friends and family.
Suit Character Operation
Ever wondered what it is like to walk around in one of those animated furry characters? Suit character operation is a skill to be learnt. It’s not a matter of simply putting on the suit and going to work. You need to learn to interact with the people you are performing for. Circus dell’Arte will teach you the art of suit operation and silent interaction. Learn the secret’s behind a great character.
Chaperoning
All character suit operators are required to have a chaperone or minder. The chaperone has a very important role in not only ensuring the suit operator’s safety but also carrying out a character role themselves. Circus dell’Arte aim to teach their chaperones how to become part of the act and not simply just a chaperone.
